May 2011 - Wild Forest Foods On The Move
Wild Forest Foods is relocating to a larger growing site in the Hertfordshire countryside between Borehamwood and Shenley. Situated well within the M25 and only a few miles from the London Borough of Barnet, we remain one of the nearest sources of locally grown vegetable and salad crops to the London area. This former disused and overgrown land has now been cleared of undergrowth and brambles and will become the main growing area for our produce.
A small mixed orchard of apples, plums and damsons has already been planted and a hardcore trackway laid. Over the next week or two we will be installing a pipeline to supply the site with clean fresh water and also begin planting. In the meantime a limited supply of produce will be available from our smaller site in NW London.
