Chirimen Hakarashi - a Japanese curly leafed mustard. Spices up soups, stews and stir-frys.
Gobo - edible Burdock root often used in Kimpira.
Kabocha - Japanese pumpkin - sweet flavour with a chestnut aroma.
Kabu - small white variety of turnip.
Mizuna - delicate serrated green leaves on a slender stalk having a slight peppery flavour. Two varieties: standard Konya type and Waido, a new variety with less serrated leaves and a broader stem.
Myoga - Japanese ginger (crop on trial)
Naga-Negi - sometimes called bunching onion or welsh onion. Similar in appearance to a large spring onion.
