Agretti/Barba di Frate - A very popular mild flavoured Italian vegetable with a slightly bitter taste used mostly in Tuscany and Umbria. Fantastic with fish and seafood or simply braised in olive oil with a little garlic as a side dish.
Cicoria - Catalogna Puntarelle Brindisina - Similar in appearance to Gigante but with a more serrated leaf pattern.
Cicoria - Gigante di Chioggia - An upright chicory that can be used in salads, braised with garlic and olive oil or steamed.
Zucchini/Courgette Flowers - Zucchini flowers can be used as shells, stuffed with a filling of your choice, and deep-fried in hot oil until crisp and golden.
